Department of Human Resources Professional Employees Salary Reduction ALL NSHE professional employees are subject to a 2.5% pay cut, with the following specific exceptions: 1.100% grant and/or contract funded faculty 2.UNSOM clinical faculty – the portion of salary derived from clinical contracts and clinical revenue 3.Letter of Appointment Instructors, temporary employees including temporary part-time faculty, residents, graduate assistants, post docs, and student workers

Department of Human Resources Professional Employees Unpaid Leave – “A” Contract Faculty Six days of unpaid leave per year – taken in ½ day increments Non-instructional faculty may take unpaid leave at any time, with supervisory approval. Instructional faculty may take leave on any non-teaching day with supervisory approval. Pay is reduced by 2.3% over the contract year Retirement is paid on unpaid leave Exemption: Letter of appointment instructors, temporary employees including temporary part-time faculty, residents, graduate assistants, post docs, and student workers.
