Why a Tutorial Support Curriculum? Align tutor training to the national certification document--Essential 8.2 Provide the teacher with tools to debrief and refine the tutorial process with students and tutors. Provide the teacher with tools to facilitate rigorous tutorials that support students in academic classes.

Four Corner Activity Review the student samples of Cornell notes on pages Review the Cornell Note grading checklist and Cornell Note rubric pages 76 and 77 Utilize both grading tools and assign a letter grade of A, B, C, D/F for student Cornell Note pages. Please do this quietly on your own.

Four Corner Activity Go to the corner of the room that corresponds with the grade you gave for the Cornell Note page selected by the presenter. Share your reasoning/justification for your grade in small groups at your corner. You may change the grade you assigned the page based on the rationale you hear from each group. Select a representative from your group to share out with the whole group.
