Physics 102 Class Web Page Important !! Full syllabus is online: Read, understand and keep a printout for reference We will quickly review it today.

This is very True for Physics I hear and I forget I read and I remember I do and I understand “Confucius”

Don’t Be Like This During Class

Be Like This

Prerequisite  You should have already taken Math 107 or an equivalent course  I will give you a basic math skill test on Wednesday (September 8). Bring a Green Scantron Sheet.  I have placed a list of topics to review on the class web page see “Review-A.pdf” worksheet

You Decide!!  If the topics in the review worksheet and the skill test were a piece of cake  You are good to go for this class!  If you are familiar with the topics but don’t remember and your test was average or just above  You should not have much problem, but you will have to study hard! and review the math skills.

You Decide!!  If you knew a few things and did not know other things and your test was near the average but below  You will have to work very hard, otherwise you will not make it.  If you don’t know all or most of the topics in the review worksheet and you did not perform well in the skill test  You will not make it thru this class. You should drop it.

What you will need to do?  Read the relevant sections or chapters before coming to class, Take notes in class  Study after class, individually or in a group  Solve Textbook Examples  Learn to do Homework Problems on your own, not just find answers but learn the process, procedure and method  Do Class examples, and problem worksheets in Lab on your own as well as with group partners.  Solve, solve …. Discipline Devote 9 hours per week of study
