Heading Heading --->455 East Main Street Morristown, Tn. 37814 January 6, 2009 The heading of a letter should contain the return address, which includes the street address on one line, followed by the city, state and zip code on the next line. The third line is the date.
Greeting Dear Chris, <--- Greeting The greeting means “hello”. Usually, all of the words, which are a part of the greeting, are capitalized. A comma follows the greeting.
Body Thank you so much for the beautiful sweater for my birthday.…… Body---> The body of the letter contains the main text or message. Each paragraph should be indented.
Closing Closing ---> Sincerely, The closing means “good-bye”. The first word of the closing begins with a capital letter. A comma follows the closing
Signature Signature ---> Randi Sonon The signature tells who wrote the letter.
