Chitrakoota Foundation (Regd.) A Public Charitable Trust Tippagondanahalli, Magadi Road, Bangalore South

Trust activities Runs three educational institutions – school (KG, I to VIII Std), PU College and Degree College. Presently around 536 students are getting their education here. The institutions are setup in a village called Tippagondanahalli and the campus is spread over 52 acres in a serene locality away from city commotion making it ideal for focused learning. Needless to mention, the pollution-free environment is conducive to students’ wellbeing. The Location lies central to and advantageous to the rural students coming from more than 30 surrounding villages. They can have access to high quality education without having to travel or relocate to urban or city areas. This has encouraged especially the girls’ education who would otherwise be deprived of education under the pretext of risks and hardships involved in travelling to far off places. Presently six buses provide transport facilities to the students. The institutions have been imparting best quality education comparable with city institutions by engaging highly qualified teaching staff and providing excellent infrastructural facilities. The students are charged very nominal fees keeping their economic background in mind and in some deserving cases their fees are totally waived off.

The Secular Approach The institutions under the Trust adopt a secular approach in admitting students, without discriminating them on the basis of caste, creed, race or sex. The Trust also has a policy of providing equal opportunity to candidates while hiring teaching staff. Meritocracy is our sole mantra. A few deserving students from weaker sections of society are provided free education, and all the others in those categories are helped by arranging scholarships from the respective welfare departments. Our teachers take active role in counseling those students and coordinating in the processes.

Achievements Hitherto Cent percent results are achieved in most of the courses offered, year after year. Exhibitions are conducted in the fields of Science, IT, Commerce and Arts. College Day is celebrated every year to recognize and honour student achievers in various fields like cultural activities, sports and academics. The Trust has played a prominent role in promoting rural development, job creation in rural areas and bridging the gap between rural and urban areas.

Dreams and challenges ahead The Trust aims at consolidating its operations by improving the infrastructural facilities for the existing group of students. – As the school extends to VIII, IX and X std, additional classrooms need to be constructed. – Procuring more books for the existing library. – Setting up well equipped science laboratories. – Procuring some more computers for the existing IT lab. – Improving food ball and hockey grounds. – Providing basket ball and tennis courts. – Expansion of the existing SC/ST book bank. – Extending bus facilities to new routes. Installing solar panels on the roofs to achieve self sufficiency in power. Sponsoring research programmes and industry-academia initiatives. Providing training and sponsoring continuing education for existing faculty members. Installing rain water harvesting to supplement the existing water sources viz, a borewell and an open well and perennial seepage water from T.G. Halli Dam.

How your generosity can make a difference Having engaged in the aforesaid service activities for all these 6 years, if the Trust has to further break through its limits and realize the aforementioned dreams, certainly it needs support from the individual and corporate donors. The Trust thus requests you to be generous in extending your kind support. The Trust has got approval under section 80G (5) (VI) of the Income Tax Act 1961 via notification from Director of Income Tax (Exemption) No. DIT (E) BLR/80G/G- 445/AABTC 0493N/ITO(E) – 11 VOL dated 25/7/2014 Donations may be made to the following accounts of the Trust. a)State Bank of India, Bharat Nagar Branch, Bangalore AC No IFSC SBIN b)Shamrao Vittal Cooperative Bank, Malleshwaram Branch, Bangalore AC No IFSC SVCB c)Canara Bank, Tavarekere Branch, Magadi Road, Bangalore AC No IFSC CNRB By all means the Trust ensures passage of complete benefit of your donations to the students in the form of improved learning facilities.
