Executive Summary Leon County residents are willing to be generous with their tax dollars IF City & County governments list which organizations receive taxpayer money and how much each receives. – 70% of taxpayers approve of City & County governments spending their tax dollars to help fund charitable organizations – 55% of taxpayers approve of City & County governments spending their tax dollars to help fund cultural, scientific, & artistic organizations 97% of citizens believe City & County governments should be required to publish a list of all organizations to which they allocate taxpayers’ dollars and show how much each organization received. 50% of citizens favor letting citizens “vote” on which organizations receive local tax dollars. 42% of citizens favor local government funding for the Brogan Museum of Art & Science; 41% oppose.
