Pertinent School Facts – Brief History  LaSalle Language Academy was named after the French explorer Sieur Rene-Robert Cavelier de LaSalle ( ).  He explored the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada, the Mississippi River, and the Gulf of Mexico. and the Gulf of Mexico. Pertinent School Facts – Brief History  LaSalle Language Academy became a Magnet school in  LaSalle enrolls students through a lottery process.  Kindergarten siblings participate in a separate lottery and on average half of the sixty new Kindergarteners are siblings.
