What is CMMS ? A Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is the core element of SeaStar, covering maintenance planning, scheduling and optimization, maintenance data services at various levels Maintenance Management forms one key element of the Marine Services led “MarineCare” program CMMS completes the service data picture, providing full maintenance records for all equipment and data for planning, optimization, reliability and improvements 4
What is SeaStar Web ? Our latest SeaStar Web software is a Web based Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and is developed with customers in mind. It has modern look and feel and easy to adapt user-friendly interface. Its configurable interface and intuitive functionality allows organizations to operate efficiently anytime, anywhere. Highly scalable – works well for a single small vessel or for a fleet of mixed size vessels. 5
Benefits of SeaStar Web Manages Maintenance Schedules Service and Maintenance Integrates engineering master data with maintenance workflows Helps ensure material readiness & regulatory compliance Oversees Work Requests and Orders Keeps Historical Asset Records Manages Data from Multiple Sites Helps Improve Reliability Minimizes Unplanned Outages Reduces Maintenance Costs Reduces Inventory Costs Increases Productivity Increases Efficiency Increases Machinery Operating Lifetime Assists analyzing life cycle cost & managing budgetary performance 6
Advantages of SeaStar Web Based CMMS EFFORTLESS ADOPTION: Accessed via the web, or installed on a platform workstation for accessibility even when away from shore (shipboard installation requires a Windows based computer). Can be accessed by portable tablets (i.e., iPad and similar devices) SECURE AND HIGH USABILITY: No Browser restrictions (i.e., can be used with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.). The SeaStar website utilizes Secure Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTPS) that provides security as you access your data over the Internet. Data isolation technology provides encryption and protects your data EASY INSTALLATIONS & PAINLESS UPGRADES Simplifies deployments. No need for customers to add hardware, software, or bandwidth as the user base grows. An internet connection is all the infrastructure you need. 7
Advantages of SeaStar Remote CMMS REPLICATION: If your vessel cannot maintain an internet connection, a SeaStar system can be installed shipboard, permitting the crew to access the CMMS and log work accomplished when it is convenient for them. When internet is available, encrypted platform to shore communication channels automatically keep your home office updated, giving you visibility into what is happening in your fleet. This process is referred to as replication where the shore side ‘consolidated’ database and the platform, or shipboard, ‘remote’ database exchange only new entries since the last transmission. 8
Replication Replication is a process that synchronizes information between a consolidated database and a singular or a set of remote databases. -A consolidated database is a database that contains all the data for a customer’s fleet. -A remote database is a database that contains specific information for a given ship or platform (i.e., work items, history, etc.) and is typically running at a physically distant site. The figure shows a schematic illustration of a small replication configuration. 9
Easy to use Work items can be quickly added, completed, and rescheduled Browse equipment information for work items Export what you see to Excel Extensive filtering capabilities to show only the information you want to see User-Friendly Using SeaStar Web 10
Using SeaStar Web Calendar and meter (i.e., running hours) based maintenance. Record meter reading. Equipment usage forecasting technology projects the due dates of running hour based maintenance. Tracks maintenance history and man hour expenditures Highly scalable – works well for a single small vessel or for a fleet of mixed size vessels 11
