CIL-M: Where are we now? Small & Northern Board Project – 17 Boards  Hastings and Prince Edward County DSB  Lakehead DSB  Northwest Catholic DSB  Superior-Greenstone DSB  Algoma DSB  DSB Ontario North East  Near North DSB  Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic DSB  Northeastern Catholic DSB  Rainbow DSB  Sudbury Catholic DSB  Bruce-Grey Catholic DSB  Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic DSB Keewatin-Patricia DSB Limestone DSB Renfrew County DSB CSP du Grand Nord de l’Ontario Mathematics Inquiry CIL-M Sustainers CIL-M Replicators Small & Northern Board Math Project Provincial Numeracy Face to Face Sessions

CIL-M: All remaining Ontario boards will be invited to participate in the CIL-M project, as follows:  Beginning in mid-June calls will be made to directors of all remaining Boards to extend invitations for participation  During September and October initial visits will take place for all new replicating boards  From November to May CIL-M site-based sessions will take place – 6 sessions at each site per year (with in-between funded co-teaching sessions)  Based on the participant feedback we are in the process of making some revisions to the 2 day model – more details will be shared in the fall

Other Updates An upcoming LNS Monograph:  “Understanding and Developing Students’ Mathematical Communication: Strategically Coordinating Whole Class Discussion” ELL Math Assessment Tool  Currently being field tested in several school boards  Revisions to be done over the summer  Designed to be a resource for boards to use to support the initial assessment process for newly arrived students (ELL)
