 Honesty is its derivative  Honesty is our traditional virtue.  2 mirror n  Life is a mirror.  Mirror is very useful for us.

2 Discussion  1 What should a good friend be like ?  2 What qualities should a good friend have?

3 Sentence pattern  (1) What is your new foreign teacher like?  She is beautiful and lively.  (2) What is your room like ?  Its tidy and clean.  (3) What is the weather like ?  It is cloudy.

Step3 listening  Now please turn to page 2.let’s do some listening. You are going to hear tow friends arguing. What are they arguing about? how to solve the problems? It needs your listening carefully. Write down what you hear. At last l will check the answers with the whole class.

Step 4 speaking  Now look at the part speaking on page 2.you are given four minutes to read the following self-introduction. After that fill in the following form.

Step 5 language study  Be fond of +n  +v-ing  I am fond of classical music.  He is fond of swimming in winter.

Step 6 summary and homework  In this class we have learnt some new words and a sentence pattern and some phrases. We have also done some listening and speaking.
