Volunteer Training Lay out Expectations Provide volunteers with a job description Make it manageable!

Where to Look….. Partner with local schools and churches who have community service requirements Ask a specific person rather than a group Ask people who originally said no- What’s more flattering? One ask or two?

Sing Their Praises Make a plan to highlight volunteers on a regular basis Everyone likes free stuff! Make everyone a cool kid

The 5 th Quarter Communicate regularly Move them through the ranks Engage them in succession planning
