Please Read Carefully because I'm going to Question you later!!!  There are 3 levels of the Government in Australia- Federal, State and Local.  The Australian Constitution created the Federal Parliament.  Australia is a Democracy. All Australians 18 and over elect representatives to make laws for them.  There are 5 Buildings in the New Parliament but are joined by 2 walkways

Canberra is the capital city of Australia. In 1913 it was named with an old Aboriginal word believed to mean “meeting place’’. About people lived in this city which is built on a plain at the foot of the Australian Alps at the northern end of the ACT. Canberra covers an area of 805 square kilometres and is the largest inland city in Australia. The Population is 345,000.

The Emblem is a floral of the ACT is the royal bluebell. The logo in Canberra has an official logo which shows the top of the new Parliament House.

 Democracy is a type of Government where people have the right to vote.  All citizens in a democracy has the equal right to say.  Democracy is a place you can vote on.  Democracy is an ancient Greek word

Australia has a Representative Democracy. The Government is a type of Australian people that represents their own country and were chosen by the people who have elected them.

 Australia's 17th Prime Minister, Harold Holt was in office from 26 January 1966 to 19 December 1967, when he was officially pronounced dead after drowning at sea. Harold Edward Holt was in the Liberal-Country Coalition for 2 years.  Malcolm Fraser was Australia’s 22nd Prime Minister. He began his term as caretaker Prime Minister on 11 November 1975, after Governor- General Sir John Kerr dismissed Gough Whitlam’s Labor government. The Fraser Coalition government was returned with the largest landslide of any federal election a month later, and remained in office until 1983.

The shield is supported by two swans the black swan represents the Australian Aboriginal people and the white swan represents the Europeans in Australia.

The Australian War Memorial is a sad place for people that have relatives that died at war through the pass. This is a NO MAKING ABOUT PLACE for people that always mucks about. but there is a zone where kids can go and play and touch stuff and discover some cool and rather gross stuff as well.
