21 Sally @ 7 vs. 4-4 Vs a 4-4 the center and the BSG will pass set on the nose. The center will block the A gap defender and the BS guard will set then block the B gap defender. The FB will run down the midline and block the most dangerous linebacker.

21 Sally @ 7 vs. 52 Vs a 5-2 defense the center will block the nose any way the nose wants to go. The guard and tackle combo the backer and end.

Variations – Crack or Stalk – We will crack if we get an inverting defense when the F/S is the alley player. 424 Guard Trap The Trap is the play that keeps the defense honest. This slows linebackers and stops the defensive pursuit.

24/26 Gut We like Gut vs. G defenses with defenses tackles that chase our Jet Sweep. The spotter in the box what’s the DT when running the Jet and if they don’t squeeze immediately we will counter with the Gut

Odd Block When facing a 50 defense with a 4 technique tackles we like to odd block the 4 technique while blocking the nose any way he wants to go.

Liz/Rip 24/26 Trap Back We like to trap back with the fullback vs. 50 defenses. The nose usually likes to slant to our Jet motion and by trapping away from the nose we can sometimes run to and uncovered gap backside.

Trap back vs. 4/3

Trap back away from Tight End Our most effective trap play is back to the weak side defensive tackle. If he is aligned in a 5 technique this play is almost impossible to stop. The motion will initiate slanting techniques by the defensive line.

If you let linebackers scrape hard, flat down the line of scrimmage they can control your outside running game. You cannot allow the inside linebackers to make the play on the Jet and Rocket sweep.
