Introduction Cinderella, Cinderella…. We have all read the traditional tale of Cinderella. Have you ever thought about what Cinderella stories from different countries are like? Have you ever heard of a Cinderella story with a boy as the main character? In this project you will be reading different Cinderella stories and learning more about the countries they came from. As you read each story, you will complete a character map and a compare/contrast sheet. You will complete several activities as the project goes along, including research. Earlier we discussed gender stereotypes, what a fairy tale consists of, and looked over a world map. Also, we have already read the traditional Cinderella story. 2. With your group, choose one book. This will be “story 1.” 3. Look at your compare/contrast sheet. Fill the first blank with the title of “story 1” on it. You will be filling in all the information for this row. When you are done with “story 1” return the book and choose a new book which will be your “story 2.” As you read remember to complete both sheets. 6.
