These achievements resulted in a group rebate of 5.25 per cent our of a possible 6 per cent, totaling $2,126,123

The Northern Ontario Safety Group business plan, marketing and promotional material and meeting dates are available on the Safety Group web site ( The 2015 Safety Group Advantage Program Employer Requirements document is currently posted on the Safety Group web site ( The common action plan element for 2015 will be Joint Health and Safety Committee or Health and Safety Representative (B-2) Four additional action plan elements from the appropriate program categories must be selected Members must maintain all previous action plan elements 2015 Northern Ontario Safety Group Overview 5

Year 1-5 firms: Review, discuss and share best practices with regard to the 2015 Common Element “Joint Health and Safety Committee or Health and Safety Representative (B-2)”. All 2014 Safety Group participating firms participating in the Safety Group incentive program are eligible to submit an application and registration fee to participate in the program in 2015 (see handout) The 2015 registration fee will cover the cost of meeting rooms, coffee and photocopies for all 2015 Safety Group meetings. The application needs to be complete and legible Need to be signed by senior manager The registration fee is to be forwarded with the application or your firm can be invoiced. Payment must be received by no later than February 28, Applying to only one sponsor per account The applications can be submit up to December 17, Applications & Registration Fee 8

Northern Ontario Safety Group Executive Committee is soliciting members from each community and various industry sectors. 10 Committee members will provide guidance to the health and safety association leads in advancing and guiding the safety group program throughout the year Three meetings per year (approximately 1 hour in length) All meetings will be conducted by conference call Applications are available in your Safety Group packages Northern Ontario Safety Group Executive Committee 9

The Safety Group has now achieved 14 years in existence with significant success. Significant advancements in participating member health and safety programs have resulted in consistent and positive impact on injury reductions (2013 experience resulted in a 16% reduction in lost time injury frequency and 24% reduction in lost time injury severity A successful forum for networking and sharing of best practices Annual rebates achieved during each participating year On behalf of your Health and Safety Association sponsors (WSN, WSPS, PSHSA and IHSA), congratulations on the achievements realized through the Safety Group initiative.
