Unmet Physical Needs Poverty of the Poor Widow (Luke 21:1-4, esp. vs. 4; Mark 12:42-44). Support for Needy Saints (2 Cor. 8:7-15, esp. vs. 14; 9:6-15, esp. vs. 12). Support for Evangelistic Endeavors (1 Cor. 16:15-18, esp. vs. 17; 2 Cor. 11:7-9, esp. vs. 9; Phil. 2:29-30, esp. vs. 30; cf. also 4:10-20).

Acts 9:10-16). – Although we pursue the paths of peace (Rom. 12:18; 14:19), conflict with the world is unavoidable (John 15:18-20; 1 John 3:13). – We must willingly share in Christ’s suffering (Rom. 8:16-17; 2 Cor. 1:5-7; Phil. 3:10; 1 Pet. 4:12-16).
