İstop (stop) is a popular game a mong children in Turkey. It is very easy to play and much more enjoyable if it is played with many children

Material: only a ball

To start the game, one child is selected as the ‘IT’ The other children stand around that child (the it)

The it throws the ball up and says one of the children’s name. The rest of the children run away as soon as possible.

The child who is named has to get back to catch the ball. If the named child catches the ball in the air, he can immediately say another name and run away.

If he doesn't catch the ball in the air, he becomes the it. As soon as the it catches the ball, he/she shouts ‘STOP’ Now, all the other children have to stop running. It is a must that they should not make any move.

The it shouts a colour and starts running to beat the nearest player. The other children run and try to find the colour. If they find the colour, they are safe.

The it tries to hit a child who hasn’t found the colour yet. If the it could not hit anyone, the it role continues and by throwing the ball through air, the game goes on likes this.
