 Enter Process Steps  Enter Functions  Unprotect Sheet

 Select FMEA once completed

 Select Process Step from drop down

 FUNCTION is automatically pulled forward from Process Step Database

 Inser t Equiment, Machine, Device, Jig  Prompted to add to database  Select Yes

 Select the  DBS to view the Equipment, Machine Database

 Dynamic Torque Tool is added to the Database

 Unprotect the Database  Enter Password

 Select SORT Button  Database is now Sorted  Change Date Reviewed to current Date e.g. zzz Reviewed 17/02/2010 to zzz Reviewed 02/10/2010

 Add Product or Process Requirements

 Insert Requirement break to separate multiple Requirements

 Enter Potential Failure Mode  Select Yes to add to database when prompted

 To add an additional Potential Failure Mode  Select Cell (new row will be added UNDERNEATH selected cell)  Select Insert row from Menu

 Enter 1 to add 1 row UNDERNEATH cell selected  Select OK

 New row is inserted UNDERNEATH

 Enter Failure Mode  Insert Failure Mode break to separate the two different failure modes

 Select yes

 Failure Mode break is now inserted

 You can select an item from the Database if already entered before

 Insert Failure Effect break to separate multiple Failure Effects

 Failure Effect break inserted

 Insert Failure Cause break to separate multiple Failure Causes

 Failure Cause Break

 Select Apply Filters

 Filters is now applied

 Select Filter by Product Requirement drop down

 Uncheck blanks to hide all blanks

 Product Requirements is now filtered by blanks

 Select drop down under S supplier  Deselect everything  Select 4

 Select Clear Filters to remove all the filters

 Enter item to find and select Find Next

 To hide a field  Select the field you want to hide  Select HIDE

 SPECIFICATION is now hidden

 Yellow background indicates that the relevant field is now hidden

 To Show the FIELD  Select Specification  Select SHOW

 Edit RPN SCALES

 PART SPECIFIC FILTER

 Enter X into relevant fields where the process or function only applies to that specific dept

 Select Generic FMEA

 Generic FMEA

 To View Data that only applies to dept a  Select dept a

 Scroll to the right  Select Filter and sort by X  FMEA is sorted for the relevant department

 UPDATE if there is an Improvement Action  ENTER in the relevant row

 Select the UPDATE button  Select yes if you sure you want to update Risk Reduction History

 Improvement actions is now recorded in history

 To implement another change enter x in the field  New change is added underneath the previous history

 Select Refresh Charts from Menu

 To view any Chart select from menu

 To save your FMEA  Select Save

 Select Save with Backup - to save a backup copy of the FMEA  Save with backup saves 2 copies  1 with Date and another with date&time

 Select button to view any scale
