Do you know which path your relationship is on Do you know which path your relationship is on? or Does your relationship need more intimacy?
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Genesis 2:24 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Transformational
The Covenant Marriage Couples Spiritual Journey Transformational (change/metamorphosis in mind, body, and spirit) Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” As Paul mentioned, in Christ our thoughts become brand new. When our thinking is changed, our beliefs are changed, our actions are changed, and our life is changed.
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Transcendent
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Transcendent (distinct/set apart independent from) Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” As Christians we must be distinct, set-apart/ independent from others just like the Lord is from us. We are “particular people”.
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Transparent
Covenant Marriage- Journey to Intimacy Transparent (authentic, walk/live in truth) 1 John 1:7-9 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” That is, we live in confession of our sins, we find forgiveness of our sins, and we walk in truth and light with God and with others. Transparent people learn the wisdom of living according to John's plea that we be transparent in our relationship with God, with ourselves, and with other people
Emotional intimacy is as real as the hunger for food, water, shelter, and clothing
