© Orison Marketing EVAPO-RUST Evapo-Rust is a patent pending non-hazardous rust remover that employs a unique selective chelating agent to remove rust (iron oxide) without posing any health or environmental hazards.

© Orison Marketing EVAPO-RUST INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY 1.WINNER - R&D’s “ TOP 100 INVENTIONS AWARD ” 2.WINNER - CleanTech’s “Outstanding Technology in Industrial Cleaning ” 3.Nominated - President’s Green Chemistry Award 4.NO LABOR * NO ACIDS/CAUSTICS * SAFE ON SKIN! 5.UNIQUE - Works by Selective Chelation at pH (neutral) 6.REPLACES Acids, Caustics, Electrolysis, Even Media Blasting 7.NO Health or Environmental Hazards 8.FEATURE of dozens of articles in trade publications spanning the Automotive, Marine, RV, and Manufacturing Industries.

© Orison Marketing HOW TO USE EVAPO-RUST PREPARATION (suggestions for best results): CLEAN & RINSE THE ITEM PRIOR TO DE-RUSTING: (Item should be free of mud, dirt, loose rust, oil, and grease.) WHY? 1.) EVAPO-RUST DOES CONTAIN A SURFACTANT TO HELP IT OVERCOME DIRT, OIL, AND SOME GREASES. HOWEVER, EVAPO-RUST IS A RUST REMOVER, NOT A CLEANER AND THE PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED, ESPECIALLY FROM GREASES. 2.) EVAPO-RUST IS SEWERABLE AS SUPPLIED. ADDING OILS AND GREASES MAY CHANGE THE STATUS OF THE DISPOSAL. IF YOU ARE ONLY DE- RUSTING CLEAN STEEL, ALL THAT REMAINS IS CHELATED IRON AND WATER. IN MOST CASES, ONLY THE IRON CONTENT SHOULD DICTATE THE DISPOSAL REQUIREMENTS. (check local restrictions and dispose of according to local, state, and federal guidelines. 3) RINSING ASSURES YOU WILL NOT BE DRAGGING OTHER CLEANERS INTO THE EVAPO-RUST SOLUTION. RAISING THE pH OF EVAPO-RUST WITH OTHER CHEMICALS CAN RENDER THE SOLUTION USELESS.

© Orison Marketing HOW TO USE EVAPO-RUST COMPLETELY IMMERSE ITEM EVAPO-RUST is easy to use. Fully immerse the rusted item in EVAPO-RUST and check progress in about 30 minutes; no scrubbing necessary. Soak times will vary from 30 minutes to 24 hours depending on severity of rust, type of steel, and bath temperature. EVAPO-RUST is water based, therefore the process will slow down as temperature decreases and increase as temperature increases. We recommend utilizing EVAPO- RUST at a bath temperature above 60° F. Once rust is removed, rinse item with water. You can now paint, plate, or apply a long term Corrosion Preventative Compound (CPC). For short term rust inhibition, simply dip the item in EVAPO-RUST and allow to dry. Rinse with water before painting, plating or applying a CPC. Pictures from SW Regional-San Diego Naval Facility

© Orison Marketing Evapo-Rust Health & Environmental Analytical Operating pH - 6 to 7 Non-Hazardous No VOC - NO HAP Non-Corrosive (NACE TH0169 = <6.35 mm/yr) Not Orally Toxic (LD50 >5g/kg) Not Dermally Toxic (LD50 >2000mg/kg) Not an eye irritant (MMTS = 0.0) Not a skin irritant (PDII = 0.9) Spent material is Non-Hazardous Removes rust by Selective Chelation No DOT Restrictions

© Orison Marketing EVAPO-RUST works at a pH of 6.1 to 7 (neutral) through selective chelation. This is a process in which a large synthetic molecule forms a bond with metals and holds them in solution. Most chelating agents bind many different metals. The active ingredient in EVAPO-RUST bonds to iron exclusively. It can remove iron from iron oxide, but is too weak to remove iron from steel because the iron is held much more strongly. How Does Evapo-Rust Work?

© Orison Marketing Limits/Advantages of Evapo-Rust Evapo-Rust specifically targets Iron oxide* Evapo-Rust does not harm aluminum, brass, copper, plastic, rubber, silicon, wood, felt, or glass (de-rust without dis-mantling) Evapo-Rust must be used as a liquid (wet process) Evapo-Rust does not affect plating Evapo-Rust does not affect non-oxide paints Evapo-Rust works best above 60 F Evapo-Rust does remove “sacrificial coatings” such as bluing, browning, zinc, or other oxides. *Hematite -  Fe 2 O 3 and- Fe(OH) 3, Goethite are not affected by Evapo-Rust™

© Orison Marketing Who Uses Evapo-Rust? Anniston Army Depot –Goals/Application Acid & caustic reduction Non-Hazardous Rust remover Used as short term inhibitor (indoors) –Engine Maintenance Facility 1650 gallons in a 2,000 gallon dip tank Continuous & Maintenance Free Service for over 3 Years (over 7 million #’s of steel de-rusted). Utilized as a cold soak to de-rust and coat –Blocks –Heads –Cams –Cranks –Rods –Shafts –Multi-substrate assemblies Anniston: “At this time, I have heard no negative comments made about the product; only praise. The operators enjoy the ease of use and the supervisors love the results.”
