Contrast The idea behind contrast is to avoid elements on the same page that are merely similar. What is the most important visual attraction on a page? Contrast makes a reader look at the page. Return to Beginning To Quiz

Repetition Repeat visual elements of the design throughout the piece. It develops the organization and strengths the unity. It is a stronger form of being consistent. Return to Beginning To Quiz

Alignment Nothing should be placed on the page arbitrarily. Every element should have some visual connection with another element on the page. It’s artsy. Return to Beginning To Quiz

Proximity Items relating to each other should be grouped together. This helps organize information, reduce clutter, and gives the reader a clear structure. “Grouping” Return to Beginning To Quiz

2 Fonts Serif: A type of font that has little to no thick/thin transition. Notice how this font (Charter Black) is and example of Serif. Sans Serif: The word “sans” meaning “without” (in French), so sans serif typefaces are those without serifs on the end of the strokes.
