Presentation transcript:

 By: Taylor Brown

 Name: Police Officer Location doesn’t matter. You can join the force in states, counties and other countries.  Description: Police officers protect the lives and property of citizens. They maintain order, catch lawbreakers, and work to prevent crimes. The salary depends on experience. You start out with $ 42-46,000.

 You can either have your High school Diploma and go to the Academy in the area you prefer (or where you are taken), or you would get a degree in the college you choose (or have been accepted) and go from there…making more money. Kaplan is a great online college to become a police officer with a degree (Bachelors).

 Usually, depending on the area that you are accepted in, or where you would like to work is how you would find out what color, and what kind of occupational suit you would wear.

 Police protection is provided twenty-four hours a day, so officers may work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Work shifts are usually rotated; however, officers are on call at all times for emergencies. Overtime may be required.

 You should definitely search the web, or go to college and take some criminal justice or law classes. See if being a Police Officer is right for you!
