A Critical Point in the Evolution of Accessibility in Canada

It is important to remember that inclusion is more than just physical access to a facility. On the contrary, combined with inclusive policies, practices and services that are designed to identify, remove and eliminate barriers experienced by persons with disabilities that will help to create a more inclusive community.

Accessibility is the inclusion of physical and service provisions for persons with disabilities that encompass the use of physical space, the use of services, and the technology that facilitates independence.
