The Disconnect: Collaboration Amongst Professionals Megan Darnell Barrie Talbott Honors Composition II 2 May 2013

What’s Going On? 0 BAD COLLABORATION 0

Why Do I Care? 0 Without teacher collaboration our future generation will crumble. 0 In today’s global society we can no longer guarantee student’s jobs because they continue to lack the skills employers desire.

Class #1 -Harness

Class #2 -Landing

Class #3 -Restraints

Real World

Why Is This Happening? 0 Professors are not required to complete any training in regards to learning how to collaborate amongst themselves in the educational system. 0

Why Isn’t It Working? 0 Without collaboration between professors and faculty there is no understanding of real world concepts and no motivation to learn. 0 Today’s academia is too departmentalized for students to grasp the big picture 0 Without communication and collaboration amongst teachers and faculty there becomes a sense of solidarity and a lack of motivation and drive, creating more of a barrier to overcome.

Experiment

How Do We Fix It? 0 Teacher collaboration is paramount to allowing students the ability to learn real world applicable knowledge in the classroom. 0 GOOD COLLABORATION Preach what we Practice. Practice the Big Picture-a collaborative picture.

The End
