Caring for our Community WHAT DO THE OVERALL RESULTS LOOK LIKE ?

Caring for our Community LEARNINGS Daytime course including a fee did not work. However evening sessions with no fee worked best Use of local media was paramount Not a “walk in the park” Success required intense support, texting, phoning and coaching. Overall feedback confirmed a non-judgmental approach from facilitators was important.

Caring for our Community The PHO provided a platter of Self Management programmes for attendees. e.g. weight self management, healthy eating active lifestyle (HEAL’s) etc Friendships developed A walking group started People attending weight loss activities together Pot luck dinners together A spring board to a healthier lifestyle OTHER BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS
