Yes, because it is : 1. Irreversible in the public eye 2. Cost efficient and even profitable 3. What consumers are demanding and buying 4. Generational

SUSTAINABILITY IS INDEED VERY GENERATIONAL

Sustainability is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Secondary packaging is the packaging materials we all use to contain, protect, or ship our products from point A to point B.

TOP LINE IMPACT OF SUSTAINABILITY

 It usually exceeds your primary packaging by volume and weight  Its effectiveness determines how the product arrives and your customer’s initial satisfaction or dissatisfaction.  It communicates the consistency of your environmental commitment to your eco minded customer.

BOTTOM LINE IMPACT OF SUSTAINABILITY

 Product arrives damaged  Product is lost within packaging (void fill)  Customer determines you are over packaging (volume)  Customer dislikes the type of packaging you provide or deems it eco unfriendly  Packaging adds freight and/or labor costs

 It is effective and does what it is supposed to do!  It presents a professional image of you, your product and your company.  It saves you money in terms of labor, freight and material costs.  You use it as a branding opportunity

Green is going to cost more money

Green makes winners and losers

Expect the focus and importance of green to grow and eventually dominate your business relationships. Green is rapidly becoming the ultimate tie breaker in situations where all else is equal.

1. The green market is growing in spite of the economy 2. More than ever before, they are looking at all of your packaging including your secondary packaging 3. It has the potential of increasing sales, reducing costs, improving your image, making your more attractive as an acquisition or an acquiring company, and even impact your ability to attract and recruit new talent.
