REPRESENTATIVE This describes a word that means a person chosen to speak for others.

QUALIFY This word means to make or become fit or eligible for a certain kind of work.

POSTPONE This word means to delay something. Two synonyms are suspend or reschedule.

LEGISLATURE This word describes a group of people elected to make or change laws.

SATISFACTORY This word means something is good enough but not outstanding. Two synonyms are acceptable and adequate.

ATTORNEY This word describes a person who acts for another person in legal matters. Two synonyms are advocate and lawyer.

COLONEL This word means a rank of military officer.

SUBMIT This word means to give in to someone’s power. Some synonyms are yield, succumb, or surrender.
