Copyright 2004 Parker Outreach Step One Cut the 3 x 5 cards in half to make two 3 x 2.5 cards. These will become the “Parker Trading cards” sand slides.
Copyright 2004 Parker Outreach Step Two Use a hole punch to make a window in the edge of the card. Start with one hole Move card slightly to one side and continue punching a row of holes

Copyright 2004 Parker Outreach Step Three Use clear packing tape Cut a strip about one inch by two inches Carefully place tape on one side of window Notes: Don’t touch tape in window area as it blurs view. No overhanging tape as it will attract sand in step 4
Copyright 2004 Parker Outreach Step Four Place slide, sticky side down, into tray of sand. Gently press window into sample. The sand will stick to the tape. Notes: Don’t touch tape in window area as it blurs view.

Step Five Add a second strip of tape on opposite side to cover sand in window. Your Parker Trading card is now ready for annotation.
