PhD structure 1 st year: – 1 st term: University of London graduate lectures. Monday & UCL – Exams Jan-Feb – Transfer viva in ~June – 1 st year report due August 2 nd year: – Attend UK HEP summer school (1 st 2 weeks September) – Often spent on Long Term Attachment (LTA) at experimental site – Perform service work for experiment 3.5 years: submit thesis!
