This Year’s Theme: Devoted Christian Living and Fruitful Growth Summer Conference Theme: Don’t Be A Baby All Your Life Winter Camp Theme: Calling to Repent and Return

Greatly Blessed, Highly Favored, Imperfect But Forgiven Child of God. John 1:12 (New Living Translation) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

He’s Still Workin’ On Me

He’s still workin’ on me, To make me what I ought to be; It took Him just a week To make the moon and stars, The sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars How loving and patient He must be! He’s still workin’ on me!

Verse 1 There really ought to be a sign upon my heart; “Don’t judge him/her yet, There’s an unfinished part.’ But I’ll be perfect just according to His plan Fashioned by the Master’s loving hand.

Verse 2 In the mirror of His words, Reflections that I’ve seen, Makes me wonder why He never gave-up on me He loves me as I am, and helps me when I pray Remember He’s the potter I’m the clay!

Ecclesiastes 11:9 (New International Version) You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

(3) Hypocritical Worship: Contempt of Offering (Malachi 1:6-14) 1. God’s Proclamation: Rebukes to the priests (1:6a) 2. People’s Retort: Denial of the rebukes (1:6b-7a) 3. God’s Evidence : Contempt of Offering (1:7b-8)

Worship – is our response to what we value most Worship – from the word “worth” Means “worthy”. God is worthy to be praise and glorify. In worship we give God the glory and praise that He is worthy of. Not for us but for God. Honor – giving the person the proper importance, their proper weight of authority

Despise - look down on something as if it is worthless. The word “defiled, profane” and “holiness” are cleverly put together- they are antonyms. Holiness -distinct, set apart, separate to God.

Defile -common, profane, separated from the sanctuary or from God. Profane - to treat or make as common (English “profane” means outside the temple), ordinary, the word is the antonym of “holy.” Contempt – the feeling one has towards someone or something he considers low, worthless, despised.

(4) Leaders Who Break the Covenant: Priests who Show Partiality (Malachi 2:1-9) 1. Curses for breaking the covenant (2:1-4) 2. Promise and requirements of the covenant (2:5-7) 3. Rebuke for breaking the covenant (8-9)

Blessing “to bless,” – enrichment : physically, spiritually, materially Curse - to ban someone, that is, to remove the person from the place of blessing, or remove the blessing. Covenant – an agreement Rebuke - for God to rebuke something means to change it, stop it, replace it. Treachery - a willful betrayal of confidence, trust or truth.

(5) The People Who Profane the Covenant: The Rebellion of God’s Chosen People (Malachi 2:10-19) 1. Contempt of the offering : From the priests to the people (1:6-14) 2. Profanation of the covenant: From the priests to the people (2:1-16) 3. Deceitful deeds : First to God (1:14), then to their brothers (2:10), last to their wives (2:11-16) Unfaithfulness 1: breaking faith with one another (2:10) Unfaithfulness 2: marrying the daughter of a foreign god (2:11- 12) Unfaithfulness 3: divorcing and treating their wives with violence (2:13-16)

Conclusion (Video)

I will sing of your love on Sundays, Only sing of your love on Sundays. I will sing of your love on Sundays, And this feeling is gone by Monday. I surrender some, I surrender some, Jesus I will give you little, I surrender some. I stand amazed at my hair do My stylist outdid herself I lift my hands and see my nails They match my eyes oh so well. I could sing of Your love forever, I could sing of Your love forever. I surrender all, I surrender all, All to Thee, my blessed Savior, I surrender all. I stand amazed in the presence Of Jesus the Nazarene, And wonder how He could love me, A sinner condemned, unclean. Wrong Worship Actual Lyrics

How great is this song, Sing with me, How great is this song, Man I love to sing, To sing this song. Savior, I don't need a savior, I'm busy living my life, busy living my life; Christmas, Go to church on Christmas, And maybe Easter too, So my faith is renewed. How great is our God, Sing with me How great is our God, And all will see, How great, how great is our God Savior, He can move the mountains My God is mighty to save He is mighty to save Forever Author of Salvation He rose and conquered the grave Jesus conquered the grave Wrong Worship Actual Lyrics

Wrong Worship I’ve sung this song for years, It's now standard here, but I still sing it, Though I don’t mean it. And I just go, go through the motions, And I fake the emotions. I exalt me, I exalt me, I exalt me, Only me, praise me. This is the air I breathe, Your holy presence Living in me And I’m desperate for you And I’m I’m lost without you I exalt You, I exalt You, I exalt You, Only You. Actual Lyrics

Worship must be honest and spiritual, the worshipers must put their heart into it and offer to God the best that they have, and the best that they can do. To get to this point they have to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord so that they will appreciate more who he is and what he had done. The greater the knowledge of the object of worship, the greater the worship. But if people do not venture there in their faith, but live selfish and self- indulgence lives, then the worship will be a drudgery and their gifts perfunctory and worthless.

James 4:17 James 4:17 (New International Version) If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. Galatians 1:10 Galatians 1:10 (New International Version) Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Psalm 66:18 Psalm 66:18 (New International Version) If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;

I Worship You (I give You all the honour)

I give You all the honour And praise that due Your name For You are the King of glory The Creator of all things

And I worship You I give my life to You I fall down on my knees Yes, I worship You I give my life to You I fall down on my knees

As Your Spirit moves upon me now You meet my deepest need And I lift my hands up to Your throne Your mercy I've received

You have broken chains that bound me You've set this captive free I will lift my voice to praise Your name For all eternity
