Hebrews In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers and requests with loud cries and tears to God… …because he was humble and devoted, God heard him. But even though he was God’s Son, he learnt through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him, and God declared him to be high priest (in the priestly order of Melchizedek.)

1 Peter 2.4 Come to the Lord, the living stone rejected by people as worthless but chosen by God as valuable. Come as living stones, and let yourselves be used in building the spiritual temple, where you will serve as holy priests … v9 But you are… the King’s priests, the holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvellous light.
