Club status Enrollment and dues: 4-year schools 20 member minimum 1,000+ enrollment 2-year schools / community college 15 member minimum Fewer than 1,000 students

Club status Don’t get suspended! Pay dues by November 30. Don’t get retained! Pay the minimum amount due. Don’t go inactive! If you missed the first deadline, pay late dues by September 30.

CKI Service Week Provide CKI clubs an opportunity to support projects and programs of the current service partners. Occurs annually during the week prior to Kiwanis One Day.

CKI Service Week Goals: Heighten campus and community awareness of CKI and service. Educate club members on the service partners and motivate them to become actively involved.

Tomorrow Fund grant Endowment account intended to further the purpose of CKI US$207,842 endowment A grant program helps fund Circle K club and district service projects.

Tomorrow Fund grant 41 grants total endowment US$22,923 Donations can be made to the fund or through Carthage-Pullman Society or Sapphire Circle Honorary memberships.

Partnership: Six Cents 70% of the earth is covered in water. Humans need 2 liters of water per day. Only.5% of all the earth’s water available for drinking.

Partnership: Six Cents Safe water is fundamental to human life 1.5 million children under the age of 5 die each year due to unsafe water. ORS is the most effective and cheapest way to keep dehydrated children alive.

Partnership: Six Cents One sachet of ORS costs 6 cents. Donations made through U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

Partnership: Better World Books Helps break the cycle of poverty through education and literacy. Supports National Center for Family Literacy through Book Drives for Better Lives. 34 million people in the United States can’t read or write.

Partnership: Better World Books How it works: 1.Better World Books sends collection and shipping boxes, posters, and tape. 2.CKI clubs promote drive on campus, and place collection bins in strategic locations. 3.CKI members collect and ship the books.

Partnership: Better World Books About Better World Books: Has converted more than 11 million donated books into $4.5 million for literacy and education. Diverted more than 6,000 tons of books from landfills.

Partnership: March of Dimes Mission: To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Achieved through research, community services, education and advocacy. Did you know? 1 in 8 babies is born premature.

Partnership: March of Dimes How can CKI help? Prematurity Awareness month (April) and day (November 12). Help babies at Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs): collecting books, donating cameras and film, making blankets, or volunteering. Educate teens using the new Teen-2-teen series.

Partnership: March of Dimes How can CKI help? Educate campuses about the importance of folic acid for women of childbearing years in reducing the chance of birth defects. Join March for Babies teams. marchofdimes.com/youth

Partnership: STUFH What is STUFH? Students Team Up to Fight Hunger National organization that raises food for the hungry by teaming up colleges and universities with food banks. Every college community has families in need. Campus is a natural source for food drives.

Partnership: STUFH How can CKI help? Get permission to place food bins around campus. Advertise the food drive. Pick up bins once the drive is complete. Coordinate with your local food bank to arrange a drop off time.

Partnership: STUFH Each pound of food raised represents a meal. More than 1 million pounds of food was raised by 75 college campuses this past year. Contact Dan Kahn at

Leadership Academy Open to all CKI members event is May 15-20; six days of leadership development at Waycross camp in southern Indiana Students nominated by their district administrator

Leadership Academy Curriculum combines Brendon Burchard’s E6 Framework with the Kiwanis Key Leader program. Facilitators guide students to self discovery. Only cost is transportation.
