Simple Past of Be The past form of be is completely irregular: Affirmative Form: I was you were he was, she was, it was we were they were Ex: They were friends

I wasn't (contraction of ……..) Simple Past of Be Negative form: I wasn't (contraction of ……..) you weren't he she it wasn't we weren't they weren't
