SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS  They should be between three and five sentences  Complete  Correct  Clear

TA-NA-E-KA  1. Why is the setting important to Mary’s choice of direction at the beginning of her Ta-Na-E-Ka?  Answer- The setting is important to Mary’s choice of direction at the beginning of her Ta-Na-E-Ka. Being close to the river gave her the idea to try and stay in a boat. Although she made it to the marina, there weren’t any docked boats. This led Mary to stay at Ernie’s Riverside restaurant for her Ta-Na-E-Ka. If the setting was any where else, Mary would not have met Ernie and had her experience.  This above answer would score a 2. Now you can score your own answer to question one. Would you earn a 2, 1, or 0?

TRADE AND GRADE  Trade papers with your elbow buddy  Decide if the answers score a 2, 1, or 0. Mark the score in pen beside the answer.  Remember the answer needs to be clear, complete, and correct.
