On December 7th 1941… 6:00 a.m : The first attack wave of 183 Japanese planes takes off from the carriers located 230 miles north of Oahu and heads for the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. 8:45 a.m : The second attack wave of 167 planes takes off from the Japanese carriers and heads for Pearl Harbor.

1.United States declared war on the Empire of Japan and entered the World War on the side of Allies. 2.Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy declared war on the United States. 3.US joined the Allied Power and this was the turning point of the war. Why was Pearl Harbour attacked ? 1.A base as the pinnacle of America’s military supremacy in the Pacific Ocean 2.Japan could continue their expansion in the Far East if a catastrophic blow could be struck against America at Pearl Harbour.
