Confidential and Proprietary © 2012 Apriva LLC 3 Meet the Vending Operator  They are merchants that own multiple machines across various locations  They have to contract with multiple companies for: hardware, installs, machines placement, storage for goods, etc.  They have drivers required to haul goods to replenish machines, empty cash and coin receptacles, refill cash devices to give change, repair jams in cash and coin acceptors, repair jams in product dispensers, clear dirt out of card readers, clean machine exterior, count inventory, and repair damage to machines  The do not have control of the ‘environment’ around machines  They rely on a large volumes of very small purchases  They are dealing with issues such as thin margins, price sensitivity, theft and vandalism, escalating operating costs and most recently - confusion with the payments industry
