What can a parent do Encourage Home Practice Familiarize yourself with the method book. There are pictures and charts from which a “layman” could help a child.

What can a parent do Join POMS! The Parents of Music Students do so much for our program and for your children. Linda Wolf, membership coordinator

You’re ready for this!

There are no shortcuts!!

Your child’s success on an instrument will be due to his/her own hard work and NO ONE else will deserve the credit. You’re ready for this!

There are no shortcuts!! Progress is directly related to the amount of work put in so be encouraging and have patience. You’re ready for this!

There are no shortcuts!! Actively seek the small steps towards progress and point them out to your child. You’re ready for this!

There are no shortcuts!! Don’t expect a virtuoso overnight. You’re ready for this!

But most important…. You’re ready for this!

Have fun! You’re ready for this!
