Weekly theme: Keeping in Touch Skills/Strategies: Using context clues to figure out an unknown word, read to self stamina, work on writing stamina, read with someone stamina, word work stamina, creating character webs, writing a friendly letter with appropriate parts, writing a personal narrative paragraph, 4 kinds of sentences, words with CvCe patterns, reading dialogue and question marks with fluency (attend to punctuation), addition and subtraction story problems, dividing squares into equal parts, counting and adding dimes and nickels, adding 10 to 2 digit numbers, subtracting 10 from 2 digit numbers, sums of 10, reading and creating a timeline, advances in communication technologies Essential Questions: How do we keep in touch with family and friends who are far away?
