To promote the ideals of honesty, service, leadership and skill development among America’s future workforce To reward scholastic achievement in career and technical education To aid in pursuit of career and educational goals To help build and maintain a stronger, more positive image for career and technical students, programs and schools To encourage the practice of high standards of personal and professional conduct and individual responsibility
To promote and honor Chantilly Governor’s STEM Academy students for their excellence in career and technical education, a strong academic career, exceptional character and significant participation in the business community
Have and maintain an A average in an Academy Course Have and maintain a 3.0 GPA Maintain good attendance determined by Chantilly Academy’s NTHS Faculty Council Being a person of character by always demonstrating respect for others, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring and citizenship Have a career experience plan (activity), committing to 10 hours or more in any of the following: internship, job shadow, clinical observation, participation in a professional student organization (SkillsUSA, HOSA, DECA, FCCLA, etc.)
The advisor(s) and faculty council will observe and regulate NTHS guidelines Quarterly student meetings AM/MID/PM block A/B day Example: October- Information/Orientation in class November- Membership applications due Late fall- meeting Winter- meeting Spring- Induction ceremony Spring- Recognition at Academy Awards
Membership Application Transcript 3.0 GPA “A” in Academy course Progress report from academy teacher National Membership Fee: $25 one time payment Renewal Fee: $5 Deadline: Friday, November 8th Allows Faculty Council to approve applications and notify students for inclusion on college applications
