Presentation transcript:

As we approached Lake Wanaka, we crossed this nice bridge over a fast moving river.

While Judy stayed up on the road, Bob explored under the bridge and the river.

The one-lane bridge was very photogenic!

Several days, when we would drive into the hills surrounding Lake Wanaka, the clouds would touch the road— eventually, they would burn off.

Along one road we frequented, the flowers and a stream were gorgeous.

There were hundreds of nice yellow flowers along the side of the road we drove regularly.

Some lake gulls enjoy a nice day at the edge of Lake Wanaka—which is surrounded by mountains.

This quaint house was in a small village near Wanaka—the Maori Tribes would paint their homes bright colors, so we guessed this was a tribute to the heritage.

This cottage was “wheeling” and dealing.

Lake Wanaka from the southern shore—gorgeous.

New Zealand sheep are very contented—good grass and they run all over the hillside.

Most of the time, when I got out of the car, the sheep would trot off fast…this one didn’t seem to mind his photo being taken.

Some farmers wrapped their bales of hay very nicely—even in the dead of summer.

A herd of Red Deer enjoy a sunny day in the field. There were many areas in New Zealand that had Red Deer “farms.”

One day, we came upon these four stags. They were in a shallow pond, cooling off in the sun. I tried to walk up quietly, but they all bolted. Just before they left, I did get a pretty good shot of them.
