Children and young people are getting effected by advertisements and the media. A lot of people are bad role models to all children. The media has a negative effect on children because it is influencing the kids to act in a different way, to dress differently and most of all to change their attitude.

There a lot of singers that are making the media even worse! Most of the singers are: Lady Gaga Katy Perry Nicki Minaj Flo Rida Justin Beiber Pitbull Singers Pitbull is a bad role model for young boys because he is always surrounded by women with loads of makeup. Katy Perry is a bad role model for young girls because she wears colourful wigs which makes young girls think that they need haircuts like this, she also encourages them to wear no clothes or barely any. Justin Beiber is a bad role model for all young boys, he has girls touching him his hair done perfect and sings rude songs. He dresses like a girl so boys could possibly get confused on how they are meant to look. Flo Rida is a terrible role model for young boys, he has lots of tattoos, big muscles, he sings rude songs, makes rude gestures and has girls hanging around him at all times. Lady Gaga is probably the worst role model for young girls, she gets the genders confused by wearing what she does, singing about rude things, making rude gestures, wearing wigs for the sake of wearing them and telling young girls that they need to look like this. Nicki Minaj is incredibly bad, she tells girls that they need to have tattoos, a massive bottom, put loads of makeup on your face and hang around muscly men.

Television Sh Television Shows Home and Away is a very stereotypical show, it has women in bikinis and wearing makeup even to go into the water for a swim before seeing there boyfriends with lots of tattoos, big muscles and six-packs. The new show called “The Shire” is extremely stereotypical it has girls with plastic surgery, boob jobs. The men have big muscles, tattoos, hang around those girls and wear their undies so that you can see half of their backside.

Advertisements Although this advertisement is meant for men and teenage boys it is also shown to boys and girls who are not meant to use this product. This Barbie advertisement is for little girls and because they play with them all the time they will think they have to look like a barbie.

There a lot of magazines that have a negative effect on children and young people. Some magazines contain inappropriate body images which make children think that they NEED to have the product which they think famous people use. Magazines

The best thing about all the advertisements for clothing and accessories is that it tells you where to buy them and how much they cost. The worst thing about advertisements for clothing and accessories is that they show girls that they need to be skinny and wear lots of makeup and on the other hand they show boys with massive muscles and tattoos. The best thing and worst thing about advertisements for clothing and accessories.

We would change a lot of things because of the media these are a few  Let more different cultures on advertisements because Australia is a multi-cultural country.  We would like to see the advertisements before they are given to the people who work for the media.  We would change the way that girls and boys are portrayed in the media and advertising by showing boys and girls that are realistic instead of stereotypical children and young people If we were the commissioner for a day…

Thankyou for watching
