ACA Communication Committee Developed at May 2004 conference Mission is to advise BOD on ways to inform governmental agencies, elected officials and community leaders on the importance of GA Educate all concerned on the role aviation plays in the life California Monitor local issues and develop procedure to determine level of ACA involvement

ACA Communication Committee Committee Focus –Governmental Associations –Elected Officials –Educate the local community –Political Action Committee Structure of Committee –Possible restrictions on government employee –Perceived problem when / if legal Role of non governmental ACA membership

ACA Communication Committee Governmental Associations –Brief State Associations on concerns of GA airports, up coming projects –Provide subject experts to groups on aviation related issues and concerns –Monitor action taken by groups

ACA Communication Committee Elected Officials –Serve as liaison between ACA and elected officials –Develop program to educate elected officials on the economic and social benefits provided by general aviation –Develop a open door relationship with local, state and federal elected officials

ACA Communication Committee Educate the Community –Develop presentation for BOD / Members to use in briefing local civic groups on GA –Review local media for aviation related stories and provide comment to Board

ACA Communication Committee Political Action Committee – Membership in PAC Makeup objectives –ACA trustees membership –Role of ACA in PAC –Develop procedure to select candidate that PAC would like to provide $ support
