ABS Safety Culture Assessment V3.1 Feb 15, 2011

2 Safety Survey The questionnaire contained thirty-seven (37) 5-scale questions and eight (8) yes/no questions exploring safety culture at ABS Ten (10) demographic questions (location, job title, experience, etc.) Three (3) free-form response questions Analyses performed by a third party to insure confidentiality of responses Survey ran for a period of 45 days 3,145 responses (53% response rate for ABS Bureau and 49% response rate for ABS Group)

3 Employees identified ABS’ strengths as:  An overall safe organization to work for  OH&S being a top priority  Having the resources (equipment, tools, and procedures) to do the job safely  Fully understanding ABS’ expectations for OH&S  Feeling comfortable stopping work for unsafe conditions

4 Employees identified areas for continuous improvement as:  Management visiting the workplace on a regular basis  Management taking time to discuss OH&S  Participation in monthly safety meetings  Management including OH&S values/performance when assessing work performance  Safety-trained individuals checking the work area before a hazardous job starts

5 Overall Results (ABS Enterprise) Over 1,000 voluntarily provided comments on how to improve safety at ABS were provided. The time spent on these comments demonstrate a commitment to safety. Summaries of these comments will be provided to ABS by a third party to insure confidentiality of responses Safety improvements will be developed based on this feedback
