How to Complete Battle Plans 100 points  Battle Plan Scenarios are Critical thinking activities deigned to have you ‘solve’ a military problem.  You and your group will be tasked with a problem in which you will Outline your plan, Write out a Step by Step Plan, and Detail your Map.

Part I: The Battle Plan Outline 40 Points  Complete the Typed Outline addressing each of the Nine Principles of War with Depth  1 st Focus on your Objective & Sub objectives while planning out how you will Mass your Troops, Using Maneuver, & Surprise your ability

Focus on the 4 main principals first. This part of the process should take up a majority of your time. Your Code Name Should begin to formulate based on the Type of Plan and Scenario

WWII Battle Plan Sample The End of ‘Welgie Day’ Forever!!!

Sample: Mass Your Troops We will organize our forces into 3 groups code named…  Alpha  Bravo  Charlie  Each Group will consist of 7-10 people

Sample: Objective  Goal is to Destroy Mr. Welgoss’s podium while capturing his prized collection of ‘Presidential Trading Cards’ valued at a total of 62 cents.  Yes he’s pretty cheap!

Sample: Offensive Since I have never seen Mr. Welgoss leave his room in 13 years we unfortunately will have to go on the Offensive in order to achieve our objectives.  Usually this would be a huge risk but since Mr. Welgoss is as violent as Gandhi I think we’re okay.

Sample: Maneuver Alpha Unit  will form up at the door and…  Knock..  Hard!! Beta Unit  already having Neutralized Conrad’s Room will prepare charges to blow through Welgie’s Wall Charlie Unit  massed on the 4 th floor will prepare to repel through his windows

Sample Outline 40 Points Last 5 Principals of War should only be Answered Once the first 4 have been Addressed with Depth Now Assess your Plan by ensuring that all 5 remaining principals are addressed and that your plan has minimal flaws.

Sample: Unity of Command  Using cell phones and group texting we will stay organized.  Team leaders will coordinate plan on the loud knock at 15:00 (3:00 if you failed Boot Camp)

Sample: Security  Using desktops as shields, Goalie equipment (thanks Harris) as amour, and books for propaganda we will not be touched  In addition, Welgie may be fast on a basketball court but have you ever seen him move fast in his room?  Me neither!

Sample: Simplicity  We need to K.I.S.S. It or…..  It’s so simple that even Conrad & Knight the Varsity Rugby and Hockey Coaches could even understand it

Sample: Surprise  When we knock on his door, blow a hole in his wall, and repel from the 4 th floor …  Welgie will be Surprised!!

Sample: Economy of Force  Your parents paid their school taxes already. Right???  We have Unlimited budget to pay your Cell Bill, Provide Goalie Equipment, Cut up Desktops, and Repelling Equipment  Sweet!!

Step by Step Plan 40 Points  In typed Paragraph form explain your entire plan with depth from the moment of attack to the finish. Be thorough!  If I can’t follow along neither can your men!

The Map: 20pts  Make sure you draw in your forces, their maneuvers, and your targets with Color!  Using both the Paragraph which I read and the Map which I trace I should be able to tell if you plan ‘could’ be successful or not.

Are You Ready for your First Battle Plan???? Hopefully you read your Full Briefing Report for HW  Did you?  You will be given 1 Generic Outline, 1Senerio ‘Rule’ Sheet, & 1 Map  Let’s GO!!!!!
