Meridien Conference How-To Guide for Speakers Setting Up the Projector

By sharing your expertise and personal experiences at the Meridien Conference, you are paving the way for a successful future for all of the attendees. We can’t thank you enough for being a key part of the conference. In order to maximize your speaker experience, the room will be prepared with all the necessary tools for your presentation. Here are six steps that will facilitate use of the projector with your personal computer.

STEP 1: The Projector Proper setup of the provided projector will ensure that all attendees in the auditorium can see your slides clearly and without obstructions to their view. Before moving on to STEP 2, please make sure that your laptop is on and properly plugged in.

STEP 2: Connecting the Projector We have provided DVI and VGA cables for your convenience. To connect your computer to the projector, simply plug the end of the cable into the correct port on your personal laptop.

STEP 3: Powering Up To turn the projector on, push the dark gray circle button located on top of the projector. You will then see the light to the left of “POWER” flash to green, indicating that you have successfully powered up the projector. c c

STEP 4: Configuring the Projector Soon after the projector has been turned on, a Configuration Menu will appear on your computer screen. Select the “Products” icon – represented by a green apple in a briefcase. Click “Next” and then click “Complete.” You will see the light to the left of “POWER” flash a few times and then return to a steady green, indicating that you have successfully configured the projector with your laptop.

STEP 5: Finding Your Perfect Angle You will immediately see your presentation slides displayed on the projection screen behind the podium. To adjust the focusing, rotate the black lens on the front of the projector until you are satisfied with the image.

Congratulations! The projector is setup and ready for your presentation. Take a deep breath, smile and enjoy your time in the spotlight at the Meridien Conference. Good luck, and we hope you will enlighten us again next year!
