 Hardware Components: Projector, Board, Pen and PC  Software: ActivInspire (Studio-old version)  Set up- Make adjustments to your picture using projector (zoom and focus wheels)  Calibrate your board: Look on the far right of the Task Bar for the small arrow and look for the Active Manager Icon (board) and right click, then select CALIBRATE. Use the pen to click on the screen to begin. Then click in the middle of the crosshairs to calibrate.

 From your Start Menu, look in All Programs (folders) for ActivSoftware- then ActivInspire or Studio.  If this is the first time your are opening the program it may ask you to select a version, please select Intermediate or Office Style, not Advanced.  If you have ActivInspire you will have a banner with several top tabs- only worry about configure and new/open tabs; If you have ActivStudio a dashboard will come up and you will click on Configure  The first step is to customize your toolbar. To do this in ActivInspire you click on Configure. ?????  If you have Studio you click on Manage Profiles, Commands to edit your tool bar. Here you can scroll down through the various tools to use. We are including a list of the ones we will demonstrate in this presentation that we think you.

 Mode 1- Projector Mode- Only use board to project from, no tools.  Mode 2- Whiteboard Mode- Flipcharts- use as a whiteboard to write on or import Power Points to annotate and save with annotations.  Mode 3- Desktop Annotation Manager- annotate on top of a document or what ever is on your desktop, cannot save annotations.

 Flipchart Icon- on the top of the Toolbar. The board will go white and you can use any of the tools like a board.  In Studio it’s the same Icon that will change mode the blue screen at the top.  In Inspire the icon looks like actual flip charts. ** Let’s practice

 The Desktop annotation will allow you to annotate anything that is currently on the computer’s desktop. You will know this is activated by a black border around the screen and a cancel button at the bottom in Inspire.  In Inspire this icon looks like a computer screen with the windows icon. **Let’s practice

 First go to and click onwww.sdshs.net departments, reading and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and SAVE the practice power point to the desktop.  To insert a Power Point into a Flip Chart.  Select the Menu button.  Click on import and find the power Point.

 Please do not use any cleaners or markers on the board.  If you happen to write on it with a dry eraser maker use the cleaners to wipe it.
