The BowieBIC Role To accelerate the growth of the existing knowledge–based, professional service firms in the City To meet the development needs of a broad group of small and entrepreneurial enterprises built around the expertise and technology of federal organizations and laboratories near Bowie,(NASA, NSA and APL). To help attract new, growth-oriented entrepreneurial businesses

Target Companies The Bowie Business Incubator program is designed to attract entrepreneurial tenant and affiliate or non-tenant companies which reflect the composition of the existing business base in and around Bowie: –technology and professional service companies (including information technology, financial services and telecommunications- related firms) –government contractors –construction-related companies –home-based businesses –BSU-related companies

BowieBIC Program Business services will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each company, but they will include: Business plan evaluation Financial forecasting Market research Competitive analysis Press and promotion support Product definition Partnership development Presentation coaching

BowieBIC Facility The proposed incubator facility for resident clients would offer: Receptionist services (“meet and greet”, light copying) Mail service (daily mail sorting and mail pick-up, overnight services available) Parking for clients and their guests Use of conference room(s) for meetings/presentations Use of shared office equipment (TV/VCR, LCD projector, overhead projector) Use of kitchen and lunch area (with microwave and refrigerator) Company name listing on incubator directory Press and promotion support Utilities (electric, water and sewer service is provided seven days a week) Company name listing at tenant’s office Office cleaning and building security
