Specialist High Skills Major Health & Wellness 2010 – 11

What is a SHSM? The SHSM program allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements for the OSSD. The SHSM program allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements for the OSSD. It along the way helps students prepare to make the transition from secondary school to apprenticeship, college, university or workplace. A SHSM enables students to gain sector specific skills and knowledge in the context of engaging, career related learning environments and helps them focus on graduation and post secondary goals. Health & Wellness Students who complete the requirements will receive a SHSM seal with their OSSD. Students who complete the requirements will receive a SHSM seal with their OSSD. In addition all students who participate will receive an SHSM Record which documents their achievement of the required components.
