Cape Neddick Lighthouse Maine’s southernmost lighthouse. Built on a rocky island just off shore. Because of this, its nickname is “Nubble Light” It is only accessible by boat although a previous lightkeeper used to transport his child to the mainland for school in a hanging basket! The coastguard thought it was too dangerous and told him to stop.
