Agenda R7284U Product Overview Key Features and Benefits Installation and Set Up Normal Operation Lockouts and Resetting Troubleshooting Error History Diagnostics Summary Product Cross Reference and Support Materials

R7284U Universal Electronic Oil Primary What is an Electronic Oil Primary? It is a line voltage, safety rated, primary control for residential oil fired burners used in boilers, forced air furnaces and water heaters. Applicable for use with both hydronic and forced air systems. Used with a cad cell flame sensor, operates an oil burner and optional oil valve. Universal Oil Primary Part Number: R7284U1004

Integrated Display – No External Tool! R7284 Key Feature Summary Diagnostics with actionable information Error logging for “deep dive” troubleshooting when needed Universal and Configurable Real time status Ease of Use i Integrated Display – No External Tool!

R7284 Features - Diagnostics Diagnostics with actionable information Igniter spark detection Cad cell high during run Cad cell adjustment/cleaning Flame proven late in trial Low voltage alarms Error history for “deep dive” troubleshooting Last 10 errors What the error was How many cycles ago it occurred Diagnostic information can be hidden from homeowner view No external tool required! i Points the technician towards the cause of failure

R7284 Features - Diagnostics with actionable information For the Oil Dealer Reduce unnecessary part changing Reduce service contract costs Reduce customer costs Reduce call-backs For the technicians No more head scratching in front of the homeowner Show the homeowner why you’re changing the right part If lockout was due to voltage – show the homeowner why you’re not changing anything! i Improve Customer Service and the Bottom Line

R7284U Features Universal compatibility This control replaces Beckett, Carlin, White Rodgers and most prior Honeywell Residential Oil Primary Controls Can be used as an interrupted or an intermittent control One OS# covers the full range of timing offerings One control covers 15, 30, 45 second lockout timings Field Adjustable valve-on delay, trial for ignition (lockout times), and blower-off delay Valve-on delay 0 to 30 seconds in 5 second increments Trial for ignition selectable 15, 30 or 45 seconds Blower-off delay 0 to 8 minutes in 15 second increments Pump priming cycle Limited recycle i

Much more than adding a display to the control! R7284 Features – Competitive Comparison   Honeywell Beckett Conclusion Universal Application Field configurable safety timings allow the technician to choose from 15, 30 or 45 second lockout timing through the control interface. Offers only a 15 second fixed safety timing Truly universal - A single control covers most of the installed base. Access to Diagnostic Information and Control Setup Technicians can quickly access the setup menu and diagnostic information through the built-in LCD display. An additional snap on display, handheld tool or docking station is required to setup timings and access the diagnostic information No additional specialty tools required Diagnostic Information Provides the technician with the cause for lockout on the digital display allowing them to quickly troubleshoot and repair the system Presents the technician with a data log requiring them to decipher the information to determine the actual cause of the problem Points the technician towards the source of the problem, not to a data log i Much more than adding a display to the control!

R7284U Display Key Features English, Spanish, French language alpha-numeric display Current system status Cad Cell reading Diagnostic information Field adjustable setup of the control – data can be hidden from homeowner view RUNNING 200 OHMS
